Terms and Conditions

1. ASSOCIATION AND APPLICABILITY

  1. These terms and conditions apply to membership of Boksteam VBSK, established in Amsterdam.
  2. By registering as a member through the website, the member agrees to these terms and conditions and to the VBSK member regulations, which form an integral part of these terms.
  3. In the event of any conflict between these terms and conditions and the member regulations, these terms and conditions shall prevail.

2. FORMATION OF MEMBERSHIP

  1. Membership comes into effect when:
    • the registration form has been completed on the website, and
    • the first payment or direct debit has been processed successfully.
  2. VBSK reserves the right to refuse a registration without stating reasons.

3. MEMBERSHIP AND FEES

  1. Membership is personal and non-transferable.
  2. The membership fee and payment frequency for each type of membership are stated during registration and on the website.
  3. Membership fees remain payable for the duration of the membership, regardless of participation in training sessions or activities.

4. PAYMENT AND DIRECT DEBIT

  1. Payment of membership fees takes place by direct debit or via an online payment method offered by Buckaroo.
  2. By entering into membership, the member authorises direct debit.
  3. In the event of a reversed or failed payment, VBSK reserves the right to:
    • collect the outstanding amount again;
    • charge any additional costs;
    • temporarily suspend participation in training sessions;
  4. In the event of continued payment arrears, membership may be terminated.

5. CANCELLATION AND TERMINATION

  1. Cancellation of membership must be made by email via ledenadministratie@vbsk.nl.
  2. Cancellation is possible subject to the notice period laid down in the member regulations.
  3. Membership fees already paid will not be refunded unless otherwise provided for in these terms or in the member regulations.
  4. VBSK may terminate membership with immediate effect in the event of:
    • serious misconduct;
    • structural payment arrears;
    • violation of the member regulations.

6. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (ONLINE REGISTRATION)

  1. In the case of online registration, the member has the right to cancel the membership free of charge within 14 days of registration, unless the member has already taken part in training sessions or activities during that period.
  2. Withdrawal must be reported in writing by email via ledenadministratie@vbsk.nl.

7. LIABILITY AND RISK

  1. Participation in VBSK training sessions and activities is at the member's own risk.
  2. VBSK is not liable for injury, damage, or loss of personal belongings, unless caused by intent or gross negligence.
  3. Members are responsible for arranging their own adequate insurance.

8. AMENDMENTS TO THE TERMS

  1. VBSK reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions.
  2. Amendments will be communicated to members in good time via the website or by email.
  3. If a member does not agree with an amendment, the member has the right to terminate the membership.

9. PRIVACY

  1. VBSK processes personal data in accordance with applicable privacy legislation, including the GDPR.
  2. The privacy policy can be consulted via the VBSK website.

10. COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTES

  1. Complaints may be submitted to VBSK in writing or by email.
  2. These terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law.
  3. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
